Here, in the storied hillside village of Bagnoli del Trigno, the “pearl of Molise” — a timeless Italian borgo perched above the gentle curves of the Trigno valley with winding alleys, medieval churches, and dramatic natural views — time stretches and breathes in harmony with the land.
This is a 5-day immersion into nature, creativity, and inner stillness, guided by vibrant dialogue, reflective meditation, joyful community, and the soulful act of painting.
With Francesco Polazzi — Art, Philosophy, and the Poetics of Place
At the heart of this residency is Francesco Polazzi, an artist whose practice intertwines philosophy and paint, pattern and presence. After studying Letters and Philosophy in Bologna and completing a Master in Fine Arts in Birmingham, Polazzi’s work has been shown across Europe and beyond — from Paris to London, Madrid to Chicago — and reflects a deep inquiry into the nature of memory, imagination, and the human spirit.
Polazzi’s canvases are alive with colour and concept: they blend figurative elements with abstract forms in compositions that feel both intimate and universal. He approaches painting like a reflective diary — lyrical, inquisitive, and generous in its embrace of story and sensation.
Under Francesco’s gentle mentorship, you’ll explore painting as meditation, learning to let colour become language and gesture become philosophy — an artistic map of the inner terrain.
